The International Horticultural Exhibition （國際園藝展覽會(huì)） took place in Beijing on Monday.The event lasted for 161 additional （另外的） days.More than 110 countries and international organizations as well as provincial or local exhibitions took part in the event.

Wang Enlan，a 70-year-old woman from Beijing，had spent a month planning a visit to the park.She and her husband spent the night in Yanqing on Sunday.She said， "We drove about 60 kilometers from Xicheng District to see the big event，which is well worth it.I will bring my grandson to the exhibition during his summer vacation."
Jiang Zedui，chairwoman of China Flower Association said， "Opening means a lot because the exhibition hit a high record in terms of participating countries and it is also a way to raise people's awareness （意識(shí)） about accepting a green lifestyle.
