  • 1.A Smart Canteen
AI is becoming more and more common in our life. Not long ago,an AI canteen opened in Shanghai.
The AI Canteen, located in the Hongqiao Area, covers about 130 m2.It can serve about 300 people every day, most of whom are old people living nearby or office workers in the area.
At the canteen people need to order food on a screen. For those who are not sure what they want to eat,the canteen's cooking system can offer advice. The canteen's robotic arms cook dishes. They can make different kinds of Chinese dishes, like noodles and wanton. What's more, the robotic arms can pack dishes and adjust the temperature for dine-in or takeaway.
At the self-service area, diners simply need to place their dishes on a smart cash desk and the system will tell them the price of the meal.People can pay in different ways, like using bank cards and QR codes. The prices of the food at the AI canteen are pretty good. The meat dishes cost 8 yuan while the vegetable dishes cost only 3.5 yuan.
"The meals cooked by robots tastes as good as those cooked by humans. It is cheap and convenient for us to eat in the AI canteen," said an old man.
Would you like to have a meal in such a smart canteen?菁優(yōu)網(wǎng)

A survey on more than 10,000 students in 12 US high schools showed that the students who take online classes get worried more easily than the students who study in the classroom.
One reason for being worried is eye strain.Tanya Palmer,16,studies at home.Every day,she sits down in front of a computer from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm without a break. When she finishes her online classes each day,she often gets eye strain."My eyes are so dry,and I get back pain too," she said.
       "It's 10 o'clock and I see her on the computer," said Tanya's mother. "I get close to her,thinking maybe she' s watching a video,but no,she's doing classwork."
Tanya is also worried about losing contact with her friends. Most of her classmates haven't seen her in person since COVID-19 broke out.She really misses them.
Everything seems more difficult for many students in America.Sports and after-school programs are gone, and school events have been canceled.
For some students,it's a big price to pay to study at home.Because they care about the health of their own and other important things in school life, they hope to get back to school soon.

  • 3.Eating at a Western Restaurant Eating at a Western restaurant is different from eating at a Chinese restaurant. Each person will have their own big plate on the table. On the left of your plate, there will be a fork.On the right of your plate, there will be a knife and a spoon. When you are looking at the menu, the waiter will usually give you a glass of ice water and some bread.
A full-course meal serves at least three courses. The first course is small, and is called the starter:Many people like to have soup or salad for their starter. The second course is the biggest, and is called the main course. The main course usually has some meat and vegetables. The last course is sweet, and is called dessert.Ice cream and cake are usually the most popular options for Western people. At Western restaurants, people normally don't drink tea with their meal. They will drink cold drinks, like juice, beer or cola.
As it's common to see Western people order an individual meal, dishes will be put right in front of them.Everyone will order dishes to eat by themselves,so everyone at the table could be eating different food.If someone has invited you to dinner, you should try to eat all the food they give you. This will show you like the food.
